I am sitting in a restaurant on the entrance to Washington Square in Sukhumvit Soi 22 making an attempt to make sense of a Thai newspaper written solely in Thai Language. I have been taking lessons in Thai Language for some time and I’m beginning to make sense of Thai words within the newspaper, however it has been a struggle. When I say make sense, I mean I can pronounce the words however I do not know what most of them mean. Even when I do know a phrase, the tone could also be completely different from the phrase that I do know, so I’d still not know what the word means!

The [two] bar/cafes on the entrance to Washington Sq. from the Soi 22 side are referred to as Sidewalk Cafe and Denny’s Corner. I want Sidewalk Cafe as a result of it does not have bar women, and it is easier to relax. The espresso is drinkable solely with quite a lot of sugar added. However the location of those [two] places is perfect for watching the world go by in each Soi 22 and Washington Square.
