There are spectacular savings on homes for sale all across the United States. Thanks to the economic depression, house values are near a 10-year low. It is a great time to find a deal on Plano real estate for sale. In fact, if you are moving to Texas then you do have a lot of housing choices between Dallas and Fort Worth.
Employment is strong in the South. Plano is a suburb of the bigger city of Dallas and has a booming local economy. You can find everything from small acreage single-family homes, to lofts, to mansions in Plano, Texas. Cost of living is low compared to most parts of the America.
One thing that helped protect Plano from a full-blown recession is the diverse employment openings. There is a large technology sector, service industry and even manufacturing in Plano and surrounding suburbs. Whatever your trade or training, you are likely to find gainful employment.
If you have school age children, you are really going to enjoy having your own piece of Plano real estate, your slice of Texas! The Plano Independent School District is one of the top 20 school districts in the U.S. As find with many top Texas schools the Plano ISD high school students can start accumulating college level credits and even opt out of some of the basic level classes required for a college degree!
You will never be at a loss for something to do in Plano. Shopping, semi-pro sports, parks and recreation are all within Colin County. You can drive 30 minutes and see professional teams like the Dallas Stars pro team, Dallas Mavericks pro team, Dallas Cowboys NFL team, and the Texas Rangers who made it to the World Series of baseball in 2011.
The weather in Dallas-Fort Worth is mild. In the Fall, you will still get snow six to nine days a year. The town rarely shuts down for ice and snow storms. If you are moving here (Texas), and if you need assistance finding a job, let me recommend the “Dallas Book of Lists” published by the DBJ. You can do a Bing search for the list and it is well worth the 100 dollars for a copy. It contains a list of all of the major employers in DFW (including Plano) and contains contact information for the Human Resources department of each company.
